Rust Street Ministries

Neighbors Helping Neighbors

Rust Street Ministries is a community outreach of the Johnson Street Church of Christ in San Angelo, Texas. We provide help with basic life necessities at no charge to those living in our area. We assist our neighbors by providing temporary assistance with food, clothing, household items and furniture, among other items our neighbors might need to make their lives a little more pleasant and a little less stressful.

We also connect those we serve with other agencies and organizations that can help with other kinds of support, counseling and life equipping skills. If you are in need of assistance, we will help you with whatever is within our reach. Also, if you are searching for a place to give back to the community, we would love to have you join us as we serve San Angelo and surrounding areas.

Message from the Director

We often hear the words “needy,” “poor” or “less fortunate” in reference to folks who are in need of material help. At Rust Street Ministries, we see the people we help as our neighbors, as our friends. Our focus is “Neighbors helping Neighbors.” When we give a bag of food, serve a meal, supply clothes or a bed, or help folks find necessary services, we are serving fellow members of our community – neighbors helping neighbors. When we see our neighbors, we see people Jesus loves, and people he has called us to love also. He is the reason Rust Street Ministries exist. God bless you and thank you for visiting our site!
